Story- Jill Pittman

I read a post here from someone who said that John always did crazy things, like the time he decided to become a school teacher. I’m the principal that hired John as a teacher at JT Moore in Nashville. As a fellow UGA graduate, we shared an instant connection. As a fellow educator, I was inspired by his divergent thinking. He was naturally adept at making kids figure things out. His pedagogy wasn’t always mainstream but he brought something wonderful to the school. The kids that he talked for as fifth graders are probably in college now. I hope that John’s intellect lives on through them.
